Scene is not a way to dress, it is more of an attitude. This is usually associated with girls that like layers in their hair and colorful clothing and such, but it's not the fashion, it's the action. If she has alll that and a bitchy personality then yes. She is considered scene.

The Scene

A term used to describe the large collection of punk-derivative "core" bands, their fans, and their culture. The bands can play a variety of sub genres , ranging from metalcore, emo, and post-hardcore, to pop-punk and melodic hardcore. Fans are stereotypically middle and high school aged girls, but there is a good portion of young adults and males in the Scene as well. Some of the more popular bands that were included in the Scene are My Chemical Romance, early Fall Out Boy, and Pierce the Veil.

Girl: Depends on who you ask. I'd say not. There is a lot of overlap in their fanbases, though.

dyes hair from naturally darkbrown to jet black, cuts it with eyes closed, listens to boys night out, idolizes jeffree star, doesnt consider eating meat, doesnt leave the house unless if its to go to hot topic or a local show in which they dont move, or if they do, its to "mosh" with everyone else that looks like them. they blend in with the "intention to stand out" upload one million myspace pictures cutting off their foreheads, photoshops eye color, one million bracelets up and down their arms, fake piercings, or real stupid piercings, gigantic gauges, being interested in body modification for logical reasons! not to be a follower. <3 we get you.

Scene

From my experience, stereotypical scene kids you see on the internet look way different than they do in real life. I have a good scene girl friend (she says she isn't anymore, but her appearance says otherwise.) who looks competely different. They wear Japanese kid-show backpacks with bright jackets with metalcore band shirts. (WTF?) Others will wear baggy hoodies with super-skinny jeans and huge colorful, hightop DC/Nike shoes. Hair colors aren't specific, because they're always changing. They're always multicolored and bright though. You'll see them in the mall with big headphones around their necks. Music includes dubstep, crunkcore, screamo/metalcore and nu-metal. Hollywood Undead and BrokeNCYDE are favorites. They type with excessive faces like O.O and :3. They can actually be pretty cool, but the rest are weird and annoying. Alot of them aren't hot like they are on the internet. Scene boy fashions include tight jackets with tighter band shirts and skinny jeans. They go to local venues to hang out. If you want to see one, go there. If they think of you as cool they'll walk up and start talking to you (thank GOD this hasn't happened to me yet). If they do play small talk and walk away, they won't leave you alone.

At a venue: "Great show!" "I know!..hey, look at those scene kids texting in a circle on the floor."
