Shit story is the phrase you used to to describe and express frustration over an unforunate set of events where everything went wrong. Its most notable use was by Tom Hanks in the movie The Burbs after snapping his credit card in half while trying to unlock the door to his neighbor's house with it.
After bob's car hit into the tree, making him late for his job interview, he walked to the nearest gas station only to find that they were closed and said "That's a shit story."

Get the shit storymug. An extremely boring and long winded story without any clear meaning or end. The end of the story will leave the listener slightly angry they were forced to listen to such a moronic pointless story. The word 'Jake Story' can also be used as an insult for someone who told a shitty story. The word was coined by a mother who realized all jakes tell terrible stories.

When someone starts telling a story that you really dont want to hear or has already completed telling a story that was super boring and uneventful, you say "cool story bro" as you close your hands in front of you in a basket shape and say "put it in the story basket" then when they go to drop their "story" in the basket you separate your hands and let the story fall through ur fingers thus saying the ever so popular line, "oops, no one cares" thus stopping the person from finishing their ever so boring story or gently reminding them that their story was stupid because it is lost in the never ending story basket :)
