MTV's The Real World

An oxymoron.

MTV's The Real World: a drunken roommate sleeps with her best friend's boyfriend and the next morning, gets into an ugly fight with her friend. The production team breaks it up, the camera turns to clips of ambulances arriving at the house, and a week after it happened they act like nothing ever happened.

The actual real world: the friend sues the roommate on assault, battery, & defamation charges. The roommate is forced to work 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs in order to pay for the court settlement & a cheap apartment right next to the airport in order to get by.

MTV

Channel which used to show good shows like Sifl & Olly, until bands started selling out on a daily basis and they replaced all the good shows with crap like TRL where you get to see 5 seconds of a bunch of lame@$$ pop videos morons popping out of the corner. Currently, they brodcast even more shows that someone with an I.Q. under 5 will find amusing, 'realistic', or fun to watch.

MTV affect

When a themed channel goes off course, and ends up turning into nothing but pop culture and reality TV. Some channels that have suffered this are MTV, VH1, and G4.

Due to the MTV affect, Some channels now show endless marathons of reality TV shows, and nothing that has to do with games, music, or what ever the channel was supposed to be about.

A television network that:

a) Shows nothing but vapid reality shows featuring rich spoiled bitches.
b) Airs stupid incarnations of Jackass, i.e. Wonder Showzen
c) Hosts the show TRL which features hoardes of screaming virgins that dress like whores and suffers those that don't get a ticket to stand outside and wave their posters like idiots. Contrary to popular belief, TRL does not show music videos, but only music clips, because they have to make time to interview the hot guest artist of the moment.
d) Airs full-length music videos only in the wee hours of morning when everybody is sleeping.
e) Tries to brainwash the youth with their stupid "political campaigns", "MTV news", and poster clone-bands.
f) Hosts the MVA's. contrary to popular belief, the MVA's is only a popularity/fashion contest as opposed to an event for showing appreciation to artists that TRULY contribute to the music industry

MTV

A horrible channel that brainwashes stupid people into becoming stupier by making them like poser crap such as Good Charolte, Avril lavgine, Slipknot, Present day Rap, ect. Also the channel is about 99% reality shows and 1% music. The channel used to be good in the 80's and early 90's but then TRL came on and in 1998 MTV stopped caring about music and became an evil corporation devoted to make american Pre-teens buy useless sh*t. MTV then came out with MTV2 which promised to be a channel devoted entirely to music video's but only played rap video's. Finnaly MTV2 broke it's promise and now plays 99% reality shows.

If you watch MTV then your head will explode.

channel that allows shitty bands like NFG, GC, simple plan, and Blink 182 to call themselves punks. it also will sell it soul to the devil at the price of music for ratings, hence TRL. i hope every one who is behind mtv gets slapped and then catches abola. mtv is gonna kill us all.

MTV is a large corporation that tells teenagers what to wear, what music to listen to, how to act, et cetera. mainly, MTV brainwashes kids into mindless 'teenie boppers'. therefore, a nice slogan to denounce MTV's 'popularity' is: DIE MTV.

Scene Kid: hey, did you cath TRL on MTV yesterday?
Real, Normal Kid: no! MTV should fucking DIE. DIE MTV.
