You knew from her butch short hair cut and combative arguementative way of talking she was too Manish.

Women who speak to men in a "pseudo smart" or jousting manner are very manish. She was trying to do "one upsmanship" and kept derailing the conversation when nobody thought her contribution was funny or interesting.
