This is in part because it's almost always picking through carpet for near-shake. Never involves actual shards or fingers, despite the name, because larger pieces are so much more quickly and easily found.

The goal of crown farming is to create a workforce under the first priest that funnels ceremonial fees to them despite the spiritual harm caused to the undertrained new initiate until the spiritual house stabilizes.
