A simp is a guy who is desperately trying to win the affection of a someone who doesn't even notice him.
He throws money at her, defends her all the time and would probably die for her, but she still doesn't care.
But a man who just respects women is not a simp. That's a very wrong use of the word.

A guy that is overly desperate for women. He cancells plans last min to go hangout with his bitch while she's a mean person and talks shit about everyone. Even tho she expresses disinterest in the guy , the guy insists to keep going out with her. He doesn't know how to let bygones be bygones. She has the guy on a leash.
