Gore-loser

noun. Variant of "sore loser". 1) A contestant, particularly in the political arena, who refuses to accept defeat even after all reasonable areas of contention have been put to rest, and invariably blames everyone from his predecessor to his opponent to the contest judges (voters).
2) Anyone who whines incessantly over a lost contest

"Ashley thinks she should have been the prom queen. She keeps whining about how she got ripped off."

The origin of the word "sore loser". This much makes more sense than using the phrase with a "sore" in it. Sour comes from the phrase, "Sour grape". A big misconception of that figure of speech.
