It's 6:43 AM and I have nothing to do and I keep searching up stuff. I need to get a life, and you do too for searching this. I hope you're happy with yourself. now bury yourself in a hole and don't come out. :-))

It’s when you ask someone where they place their milk in the fridge. Top, bottom, middle shelf areas. If they answer top they are into tops and if they answer bottom they are into bottoms and if they answer middle they are switches.
Where’s your milk placed? The top, it has to be on the top. No it does not it goes at the bottom. Ok now I know, you’re a bottom. What did you jsut do? I just did something called milk placing.

"The place" is the mental state where one simply wants to curl up under a blanket in a dark room and sleep for hours. To be in "the place" is to be that special kind of demotivated, tired and anxious that makes you want to avoid responsibility and the rest of the world in favor of a cozy cave.
Friend - "It's 7am, let's make coffee and go on a hike!"
Me - "That sounds great but I'm in the place right now, can we do it tomorrow?"

A desperate sense of powerless that causes paralysis, internally.
A state in which one is restricted to watching their life without explicit control or influence, typically induced by forms of hypnosis. The person is inhibited from acting or speaking, thus unable to change their reality and instead watches like a spectator.
The feeling of sinking comes from the feeling of their life progression declining, slipping from their grip, going downwards. This causes such severe internalised distress that part of their conciousness becomes frozen/paralysed.
The term was made popular by Jordan Peele's 'Get Out', though often associated with the mirrored moral problems such as racism and slavery.

Jack's been using Meth for so long that he's powerless to change his own life. It's like he's been brainwashed, although no one can tell... He's in the Sunken Place.
