Niblet

Niblet (noun):

1. A gender-neutral term for a niece or nephew.
Example: 'My niblet is learning to ride a bike!'

2. A term of endearment for a child in your life who is not biologically related, but whom you have a close relationship with and consider yourself a role model for.

2a) A close friends child
2b) Someone you grew up close in distance to ie "my niblet lives down the street"
