The first rule of peacocking is : don't tell the audience what it already knows.

This 'rule' refers to a maxim in social science literature that a person/thing trying to show status should not be repetitive / redundant and give the audience what they already know would happen.

MelRonDrew Rule

Forecasting after 12 Noon on a Friday requires hazard pay, additional PTO time, and one BT Travel Workbook skip for the following year.

Damn, I really wanted to NOT have a headache all weekend, but they made me forecast on Friday afternoon. I invoked the MelRonDrew Rule, so I guess it will pay off in the long run though.
