advocate or companion says exactly same as patient: former listened to, latter barely acknowledged/too articulate to need help or support.

Suddenly begins to feel like invalidated, ignored, infantilised,or spoken-at by professionals - irrespective of needs, urgency, complexity, education, age, or life experience.

Always the same issue with advocacy and experiencing same 'paradox of the responsible adult', no matter how old or educated.

New Jersey adults will graduate high school and get tf out of the state, go to college in another state for 4 years, then graduate and get a job in another state or travel to other countries, then get married and bring their spouse who’s either from New Jersey or elsewhere back to the Jersey suburbs so that the next generation will repeat the cycle.
