Van Surfing

To exit a moving van or station wagon and attempt to ride on top, as if surfing. Safest when done on roads with soft shoulders and little traffic. The driver may or may not attempt to throw the rider off, depending on the situation and the relationship between driver and rider. Often done on the beaches of Florida, since vehicles are allowed to drive right down on the sand.

He made it a full 38 seconds van surfing before losing his balance and rolling down the windshield at a sudden stop.

transfer surfing

superhighways that have collector lanes and express lanes use transfer lanes to move from collectors to express and vice versa. These lanes are designed to be used to transfer only, then move into the traffic lanes of the collectors or express as appropriate. Some drivers attempt to improve their travel time by staying in the transfer lanes, thus moving from collectors to express, then back to collectors, then to express, and so on.

1. When you go surfing and throw Nerf balls at other Surfers.

2. When you go surfing on a board made of Nerf products.

3. Nurfing is the equivalent of 'gnarly' or 'awesome.

cedar surfing

Running your vehicle, whether intentional or not, off the road at high speeds into a line of cedar trees.

The truck was a total loss after Larry fell asleep at the wheel doing 80 and went cedar surfing down the bar ditch of Highway 36 near Smith Creek.
