1.Not knowing what a phrase/ebonics word/ or abreviation means and having to look it up.

2.Quickly looking up a word to see what "modern" definition is.

3.Bored and trying to find new words to use.

1.Aim Convo:
Male: Yeah and I just broke up with my girl.. Im not sure if I want to get into another relationship..
Female:Do you want to be my FWB?
Male: Im gunna go check the urb.. (Searchs fwb and finds "Friends With Benefits)
Male: Now your speaking my language!

2.What is a Mozilla FireFox Godzillas cousin? (checks the urb)Ohh apparently its "The bestest browser ever".

3.(While Bored, Guy decides to Check the Urb) Hmm Word of the day, "jackass of all trades" Nice I'm definitely gunna try and use that word in a convo today.

Check your puss

British saying, mainly Scotish.

Puss: face.

Often meaning, look how ugly your face is, or if it's over made-up with make up, or if some is in a bad mood and you want to annoy them and make it worse you say "Check your puss!"

Ned walks in totally caked in make up. Person walks up to her, points and says, "Check your puss!"

Check and Chuck

The process of grading endless stacks of student papers by putting a check mark in the gradebook and chucking the papers into a box to be returned to students (or recycled). Check and chuck involves no realistic evaluation of student work, nor is it remotely related to teaching or educating.

Let's see, I have 185 students, and I assign 2 or 3 pieces of work every day. I get 2,000 papers a week. I look at a few, but most of them are check and chuck.
