A decrease in a research study participant's baseline Reaction Time (RT) and increase in general cognitive processing speed and capacity that is due to the participant's engagement and practice in video gaming.

The decrease in population level mean RT as compared to 50 years ago may be due in part to the Ostrich Effect!
