Used metaphorically to refer to the absence of someone who is called out, particularly when that person is in a queue. It is commonly used in a clinic setting where in a patient leaves before his or her turn is up.

To do a Wendel you must repeat any sentence that a person has just said using different wording and adding "so it is", "so you do" etc in places that they're not needed.

Person: "I went to the shop today" To do a Wendel you would follow it by: "So what your saying is you took a stroll to a shopping establishment today so you did!"
