When referring to credit cards, a “product conversion,” i.e. upgrading or downgrading a credit card from the same issuer but without it being considered a new application for credit (that would have consequences for a credit report).

The bank is raising my premium Visa’s annual fee, so I did a PC to the standard Visa to avoid the hike.
