I heard this slang from my grandmother in East Grand Forks, Minnesota during the 70's.

"You talk like a man with a paper butt!"

paper pimp

Paper pimp (n). A high profile left or right wing columnist, who writes op ed pieces with a particular slant to persuade many of its readers to buy a newspaper, that otherwise would be used for the litterbox or the bird cage lining. A paper pimp knows his/her audience, so it will sell in certain markets. Paper Pimps are found syndicated in many of the large metropolitan "rags" throughout the country. This can also be used as a descriptive: "paper pimper, or pimping papers".

Cal Thomas' article didn't surprise me. I read the first paragraph and knew he was just a paper pimp.

Paper Towel

Mortal enemy of the toilet. As little as half a sheet can incapacitate the mightiest of crap cans.

This is such a problem that paper towels have been outright banned in several housing projects.

Deep Like A Paper Cut

A saying used to say that something is meant to be deep but epically failed. A paper cut is typically the most minor of the cuts--barely breaking the skin, so for something to be "deep like a paper cut" means that it is hardly deep at all.

Jessica: Look, I know that you like using men like tissues, but you are thirty-freaking-three now. I really think you ought to settle down. Find a man who can tame you.

Emily: Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they just need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run free with them.
