Basically a transport from jail to prison. It can also mean that you are about to complete your prison term and be released to free world. The reason inmates refer to being transported to or from prison as catchin chain is because when an inmate is transported to prison or another facility you are loaded onto a bus and are handcuffed and chained by your legs and your waist. You are commonly chained to a fellow inmate and sit next him or her for the duration of your ride.
Yo where’s the homie at? Oh bro he catchin chain early this morning. He getting ready for when they call his name.

to balance on a slacked chain that runs between two poles, typically found in urban environments that were designed to have an old-fashioned look. In order to maintain balance, you keep your arms raised and the chain moves sideways, making it look as if you were on a real surf board.

A non-stop party often lasting days at a time.
It can change location as it runs out of supply (booze, smokes, pingers, etc.)

Jack: "Oi, let's have an invite all and chain party this weekend!"
Jill: "Sounds great. We'll go to your house first then mine after we run out of booze!"

1. "I shouldn't have pulled that all-nighter. I'm really licking the chain now."
2. "Should have skipped some shots of vodka last night, I was licking the chain for hours when I got up today."
