adminicastrator

A person who works in a bureaucracy who gleefully invokes policies and procedures to inflict emotional or other distress on clients of the agency in question. Derived from 'administrator' and 'castration.'

After calling the Child Support Agency about this problem three times and getting the same adminicastrator every time I finally gave up and called complaints directly.

Administrative Lip

Most often used in the college setting around class registration time. When the hassle of administrative work becomes unbearable, the only solution is saying "fuck it" and packing an enormous lip of smokeless tobacco.

Henry: "Dude they keep saying that my password is incorrect and when I try to get my password hint they won't give it to me"

James: "That sucks bro. I got my skoal peach right here go ahead and grab an administrative lip."

Admin Bomb

A term normally referring to the event in which the administrator of a game completely resets the account of a player because:

a) the player was warned many times, but the Admin sees admin bombing a more fit punishment than deletion.
b) the administrator is just plain pissed off at the player.
c)

Or many other reasons.

Administrative law

The branch of law which deals with the powers and procedures of government agencies. In the United States and many other countries, this includes rulemaking (the manner in which agencies enact regulations), adjudication (the manner in which agencies resolve disputes over agencies' actions), enforcement of regulatory policy, and many issues related to due process.

Administrative law is closely related to constitutional law in that it often deals with what powers the government has and doesn't have, and in what manner government agencies may carry out the power delegated to them by the legislature.

The regulations crafted by rulemaking processes are often extremely complex, and frequently directly refer to specific scientific, technical, and financial standards (such as parts per million/billion of pollution, safety measures for certain activities, and accounting/financial reporting procedures).

Constitutional law teaches you how government is supposed to work, in theory. Administrative law, on the other hand, teaches you how it actually works, in practice.

Aluminum Noodle

Putting Ramen noodles in the microwave without water, then pulling it out, filling it with water but leaving the packet in the bowl also.

Man, I asked my mom to make me dinner, right, and she goes and makes me some aluminum noodles! She can't cook.
