An unknown but very common condition present in hot and humid environments, often developed due to the extreme heat in one’s car when they get in after leaving it in the sun all day. The chemicals used to treat leather, vinyl, plastic, and fabric to preserve it’s life over longer periods, but cannot withstand the magnified heat achieved from the car’s glass. Symptoms include discolored skin, thinning hair and hair loss, Sickle Cell Anemia, Non-Hotchkins Lymphoma, and even death.

Mail sent to an address by the government to ask for confirmation that the resident still lives there; if the resident does not respond, e.g., because s/he mistakes it for junk mail, the state uses non-response as its excuse to purge the voter from its rolls
The (in)accuracy of non-response to assess residency can be corroborated by comparing purged name-address pairs with recent USPS and Amazon shipments.
