vent art (noun): depicting pain, abondenment or sadness thru a character suffering. usually a replacement for self-harm, the artist might depict self harm or the after maths as a way to show their commitment to these big feelings. the focus character is usually a stand in for the artist; a fursona or self-insert oc are popular.
this is not canon, i am just making (m< OC) suffer here as some vent art. life sucks right now, but i will be back to regular updates soon!

the act of undervaluing certain art-related careers and work (in contrast to careers that seem more "important" to society like the sciences) while at the same time trying to seem cultured in the arts and abusing its pleasures. One example would be a person who refuses to pay an artist or designer the full amount for their work and then goes to art museums to give his or her life value and meaning. Basically any action that makes derogatory comments on the significance of art and does not understand that 'artwork is work' falls under this category. This can often result in the artist feeling used and then completely rejected of any value to society.
Person 1: Man, I'm really interested in a career in children's book illustration.
Person 2: Isn't it crazy how children's book illustrators get paid so much for something so simple and yet engineers make all these calculation for yada yada yada?
Person 1: Wtf. That's totally art shaming!

The art of being a liberal; the pursuit of both education and poverty at the same time, the crux of which is a liberal arts degree.
Jaclyn received a degree in Media Study from a prestigious liberal arts college and works at Starbucks fifty hours a week to repay her $120,000 of debt.

well it shows how foolish most of you are. art school is for creative people, yes. but it is not just for people who want to be actual artists, in fact that they make up a small percentage. mostly it students who want to do something different, and want to have a career that they are actually happy with. such as illustration, game and movie design, fashion, industrial design, photography, and a lot more. and it is far from easy. they just dont want to be zombies waking up with the same dead end job, day in and day out, wishing they had done something more with their lives.
