ruweda

noun. pronounced (roo-WAY-duh) a Filipino term for 'wheel', particularly a Ferris Wheel used to separate it from 'chubibo', the Filipino equivalent of a carousel or merry-go-round.

This term can also be interchanged to indicate a 'ring', particularly a fighting ring in cockfighting or even in contact sports.

From Spanish 'rueda' or from Catalan 'roda' meaning 'wheel'.
