Coined in the 1960s by Native Americans to describe hippies who wanted to be Indians. The Indians described them as being members of the Wannabe Tribe. Now used to describe people who wannabe another person or any of a variety of different types of people.

Wannabe TryHard

In gamin, Try-hard refers to those whose effort level and emotional investment are excessively high for the level of gaming in which they are playing in. Usually in hopes to emulate the essence of a professional gamer.

A Wannabe TryHard attempts to portray themselves in this manner but with only a fraction of the effort and an exaggerated emotional investment. In other words, they'll hack/cheat/buy their way to a position that others have invested actual time and effort.

Don't listen to Chad, that Wannabe TryHard would still be lvl 1 if he didn't use those cheats.
