the act of shiftin' back and forth while waitin' in line, leading with your right foot, then left foot, then repeat; events include: the grocery store, concert events, movies, etc.

Sally: Hey, this line for the roller coaster is so long, Charlie!
Charlie: I know. I pass the time by doing some "shiftin' suzies" as the line moves up.
Sally: Good idea Charlie! I didn't know "shiftin' suzies" could be so convenient and fun.

Fake Shifting

When a male pretends to drive a car with manual transmission when they don't have one (usually to impress females).

This usually involves switching to neutral at a stop so they roll backwards slightly before they drive away, or driving with their right hand on their shifter.

Man, that guy was fake shifting that car and it doesn't even come in manual! What a tool!!

peppermint shift

when a man pleasures his girlfriend/lover with a large candy cane (one of the ones you can buy around x-mas for like 2 bucks) and he use's it like a sex toy on her and every time he movers it in a direction he yells out a gear. ex up= first, left= second, right= third, down=fourth, in and out = over drive.

i was going to give my girlfriend oral but all i could taste was peppermint. if i find out that asshole gave my girlfriend a peppermint shift ill kill him.
