Lego

A torture device discovered in Germany and subsequently used by Americans in the most violent forms of torture which was then found to be useful for building stuff.

During times of war, prisoners would be ushered into a completely dark room with random Lego pieces on the floor and be required to continuously walk around.

On day, a cleaner was wiping the blood and toenails from the Lego room when they discovered that multiple pieces can be joined together and used to build things.

Clarification: Duplo; Four times the size, four times the pain.

The interrogation was all getting too much, then they busted out the Lego and I spilt the beans.
