The phrase 'lost in the sauce' first appeared in the famous song 'Waving my dick in the wind' by world renowned band 'WEEN'. In which a man is trying to get back to his lover. 'Lost in the sauce' can be easily seen as being so deeply in love that you are willing to say things or carry out actions that you wouldn't normally do if you weren't so madly in love.
