posthypnotic suggestion

Something to do after you have been hypnotized. Like, after you've been hypnotized and are wondering what to do next, only you can't think exactly what it will be so you don't know what you will do but everyone else in the room knows already and that pisses you off, them knowing and you don't, so you rip off your shirt and skirt and say -- all right I don't think I was hypnotized anyway. Probably part of the hypnosis was to tell you to forget the posthypnotic suggestion, and forget that you have been hypnotized. At least forget it for a while.

Like at that party last Saturday night when I volunteered to be hypnotized and they gave me a posthypnotic sugestion -- but I forgot about it till just a few minutes ago. Before we started I was convinced that a posthypnotic suggestion would not work on me.

The NS "suggestions and ideas" forum

The spawn of all bad suggestions. If this represented a volcano it would be Mount Doom. (although the only flames you'll see are from the forum-goers)

This forum makes people fear for the future of humanity.

the Suggestions and Ideas forum itself was supposed to be a hub for good suggestions. Now we need a seperate topic to wade through the garbage.

Suggestimate

A suggestimate is offered, where neither an estimate, nor a guesstimate is available.

To suggestimate, is to suggest an estimate.

A: What is your estimate on the cost of running the staff canteen this year.

B: I have no estimate on this as we do not know how many people will be sacked this year.

A: What about a guesstimate?

B: I absolutely cannot offer a guesstimate since I need at least a rough idea of how many staff we will have this year. Maybe you could suggestimate that for me.

Suggestion Bar Fear

The fear that what you are searching will show no results in the suggestion bar. Typing slowly, and often checking the Google suggestion bar is a symptom.

Suggestitution

The inherent sense one has of suggestion. The ability to heighten a suggestive phrase through immediate acknowledgment followed by yet another suggestive phrase.

Person 1: That's the way I like it.
Person 2: Baby I know.

Note that person two has Suggestitution. They immediately recognized a hint of suggestiveness and heightened the sense of suggestiveness by adding yet another suggestive comment. Subtlety is key.

Referring to the Sugg's brothers, Zoe Sugg and Joseph Sugg. They are lovely, incredible and very popular youtubers running channels with millions of subscribers. Zoe's channel are "Zoella" and "Morezoella" while joe's are "Thatcherjoe" and "Tatcherjoevlogs"

Me: Do you know what day is it today?

Me: No! It's Sugget's sunday! Zoe and Joe will be uoloading they're new videos yay!

Post Hypnotic Suggestion

After a person has been hypnotized they can be given 'post hypnotic suggestion'. This places in their mind the thought that they must continue doing something despite no longer being in a state of false lethargy (also induced by illusions of hypnosis). This suggestion may be ignored as the 'want' that has been induced is not real and only an illusion.

Post hypnotic suggestion is used on some cigarette users in the hope that they will be tricked into thinking they want to quit smoking. It does not work as a general rule unfortunately.
