A D.C. coloquial similar to Jawn or Jant, though probably stemming from Joint.

Used as a noun for nearly anything and everything. Usually followed with an adjective like Tight (Tizight, Tiggity Tight).

Them jongst is tight! (compliment, e.g. shoes)

I'ma get that jongst next week. (purchase)
