The term originated after the famous rapper J-Cole decided to align himself with Drake in an attempt to claim the rap battle thrown against Kendrick Lamar (aka K Dot). Shortly after releasing thier song J-Cole chose to make a public apology to K Dot, and proceeded to excuse himself from the battle. Initially he received backlash for his decision, however, after the world witnessed the lyrical bloodbath that ensued, the world realized J-Cole made the best decision.
