A show that many say is getting stale and old, and yes, I agree it is, but now that it has Family Guy to compete with again it will regain the lost spark that disappeared when Family Guy was cancelled. Many think that the Simpsons peaked at the cancellation of Family Guy (season 12) but so did Family Guy. It is what Family Guy copied so that it would get on TV for more than 5 minutes on Fox. A great pop culture icon and even the basis of some college classes.

Get the The Simpsons mug.Truly the greatest show ever made. period. the setting is still somewhat in the 1990s,yet they still parody things like the i phone and current events, like the bp oil spill,up coming election,ect. the best thing about this show, is the vast world inside of it. matt groening may have a massive ego,acording to some family guy creators.(look at what hes created!!!). family guy has ran out of ideas, turning stewie from a evil genious baby to a latent homosexual adult in a babys body.they got cancelled twice. homers still the same alcoholic fatass who gets into all kinds of crazy shit and they still get alot of ratings. and FG riped off the simpsons,big time. peter is same as homer-alcoholic,fat,stupid,poor judgement,dad. lois,marge-wife,more calm and collected than husband,the one who talks husband out of stupid shit. bart chris-son,does bad at school.(chris and bart are not the same per se,seth had to dodge copyright laws).Meg Lisa-smart,social outcast. stewie maggie-evil baby, no one notics it. maggie has shot someone just like stewie. only maggie did it like 10 years earlier.
