For something to be described as "ticking it", it must be exceptionally good or very interesting. For a person to be "ticking it", they must be very good-looking or socially admirable. It is similar to words like nang, peng and grade. It originated in Nottingham in 2010. It is a manipulation of the phrase "ticking all the boxes".
