2. A person or object that is cool, awesome, hip, maybe even obsessed by the person using the word, to describe that person or object.

swankienda

Combination of swanky and hacienda. This term was coined in Houston Texas by Maxine Mesinger, a writer for the Houston Chronicle, and chiefly refers to higher-end or unique Southern architecture of any era. Swankienda is a compliment, not a put-down, and shouldn't be confused with the term McMansion.

Joe: "Are you going to Hazel's party?"
Jane: "Definitely! It's going to be in the backyard of her fabulous mid-century-mod swankienda ."
