One who vomits upon seeing, hearing, and/or, smelling someone else vomit despite any physical ailment.

When Jane threw up at the dinner table we immediately found out Bob was a sympathy spewer because he proceeded to vomit as well.

The act of having sex with someone as a consoling gesture, immediately after breaking up with them.

The true purpose is to allow you a safe window of opportunity for collecting your property from their house.

(This generally occurs within an hour or two of the breakup, but it can sometimes qualify as a sympathy-fuck even a few days later if circumstances are extremely bad)

sympathy like

If one of your friends attempts to make a clever or funny status but fails, and after 72 hours it has no likes, you like it. Doesn't mean you actually like it, just a benevolent act to make the status seem less depressing and cheer the person up.
