Taken from Afrikaans, a rooinek is an English speaking South African, usually of British decent. The name literally means "red-neck" and comes from the sun burnt necks of the British Army soldiers who wore pith helmets on campaign in South Africa. The helmets often did not afford enough protection from the sun which resulted in the sun burn. The term is usually used as an insult.

No other club can live with the sheer talent, brilliance or attractiveness of the club's crews, especially the the junior boys squad. Neighbours, Bedford Modern School and Bedford RC are said to literally shit themselves in sheer terror whenever confronted with a noble Star Club Warrior and local girls schools Dame Alice and BHS can only dream of getting within 10 feet of them! Star Club icons include Giggs, Tempah T and The Dawgz.

Rowing

Hopeless process of destroying one's self in an attempt to move a Buoyancy - Operated - Aquatic - Transport mechanism, a.k.a. 'boat'. This futile act of throwing one's body limply against a long, plastic - and - wood (or metal) stick (also known as an 'oar') and thrashing one's arms about caused much pain and distress in the High Middle Ages, or around the 12th or 13th century, when many were expected to actually succeed at doing this on the trade vessels that were in fashion at the time.

Modern futility experts estimate that the people who continue to practice of this exercise will eventually die out due to natural selection and lack of reproductive ability.
