The default topic for people to pointlessly argue about is the nickname of the Washington Redskins, therefore, when one topic is dropped the loud, angry, emotional conversations return to the name Redskins. Because everyone in the world and their mom is familiar with the Redskins debate, it is the ultimate sign of irrelevance for a topic to be pushed aside to resume discussion about the Redskins. Most things that trend on Facebook or Twitter become redskinned in less than three weeks.
The Indiana RFRA law, Joe Paterno, and any commentary on politics from any celebrity are all pointless argument topics that were redskinned long ago.
