High-Fidelity Oscilloscope

1. An electronic device that is overkill or is grossly over-engineered for a given task. An example is a 200 megahertz oscilloscope on your $8,000 CD transport to view sound waves that are four orders of magnitude less clear.

2. Any expensive device bought to "improve" the performance of a system (not just a sound system), when only a small percentage of the potential of the added on device will be used.

They now have a "gaming" network card with a K-shaped heatsink on it, which is about as pointless as a high-fidelity oscilloscope.

So you bought a blu-ray recording deck to get crisp copies off your VHS tapes you taped off of UHF rabbit ears?? You might as well as bought a high fidelity oscilloscope to draw a graph of how often the furnace switches on.

Bob Dylan spent $2,000 on a new Karoke machine with the ribbon microphone,electrostatic speaker, and Akai open-reel deck, but I personally think he wasted his money on a high fidelity oscilloscope.

The purest and most genuine person you’ll ever meet. She is honest, kind, hardworking and has a heart of gold. No matter how cold or bitchy you can be at times, she never takes it personally and will stick by your side because she knows you need her most in those kind of situations. She doesn’t care about status, popularity, all that nonsense. She’s incredibly humble too. She can be really clumsy at times and is the type to not notice the elephant in the room. It’s pretty funny though. Naïve, but she makes good decisions. Again, she’s so honest she would literally tell on herself. Her integrity makes me feel small (yes i quoted Taylor Swift). She’s driven, determined and one of the most naturally brilliant people I know. She finds it hard and cringey to say ‘I love you’, doesn’t like hugs and affection, but she expresses her love and warmth in countless other ways. I would say much more but it’s better if you just get to know her. Anyways, I’m convinced she is my soulmate. She inspires me everyday. I’ll love and cherish her forever.
