Eureka High School

Eureka High School is a school in the suburbs of St. Louis, MO that is full of racists, homophobes, transphobes, and rapists. Some of the teachers are great, but a lot of the kids are privileged white assholes that pretend to like the black kids... but only if they’re good at football.
“Oh man, you go to Eureka High School?”
“Yeah. Some kid said the n-word with a hard R in front of a black kid at a party during the pandemic. It’s shitty.”
“Man I’m sorry...”

Eureka Pint

When you drink an alcoholic beverage after losing motivation or creativity to complete an assignment at work or university.
Used due to the fact that a drink or two always loosens the brain.

Not to be confused with 'Study Beer'
"I've lost all motivation to work on this assignment, dude."
"No worries, go for a Eureka Pint"

"Mate I had a Eureka Pint and immediately reached an intellectual enlightenment!"

Idiotic Eureka Moment

The phenomenon of finally understanding a joke or pun that everyone else understood long ago.
“ “That hat looks like a Nun’s Habit”
“What’s a Nun’s Habit?”
“It’s the name of the headgear worn by Nuns!”
“Oh now I get it: ‘Sister Act 2 - Back in the Habit’ - I thought Whoopie Goldberg was just back in the habit of being a Nun!”
“Ah, you’ve just had an Idiotic Eureka Moment”

Bilateral eureka

(This is the complete definition from my Ph.D. dissertation in 2003.)

"This is the Holy Grail of what, it seems, many daters are looking for. It's important that some "energy/feeling/connection" or "chemistry"

be present to develop rapport with a stranger. Habitual daters who are expecting to be swept off their feet with the next date may be missing this Eureka feeling by having unrealistic expectations. Many people seem to know in the first 15 minutes or so of a first meeting whether or not there is a future to the relationship, but it is hard to get to know a person that quickly. It's difficult for one person to be enchanted with the other person, and substantially more difficult for two strangers to both feel "eureka" when they meet the next stranger."
After having gone on lots of first blind dates over the last few months, he knew after just a few minutes that she was special. And she told him that she was just what she'd been looking for as well. It was as if the angels were singing when they met, and they both felt a rare and special warmth for each other that they hadn't felt on a first date in a long, long time. The sparks were there for both of them. They had found the elusive and wonderful "bilateral eureka" that makes people keep on dating until both have found that special, rare and amazing person. (Unless they've settled for someone less amazing!)

Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO)

A major supporting character from the anime Eureka Seven AO. {Gazelle (real name Jiro) is the leader of a group of couriers on Iwato Jima. Though he starts as a smuggler, he becomes a key political figure fighting for Okinawan independence. He is known for his protective attitude toward the protagonist, Ao. He is famously known for witnessing the Scub Burst alongside Han Juno in the first episode. A notable early moment for his crew is in Episode 3, where Gazelle, Han, and Pippo do a little caving while searching for items to scavenge on Iwato Jima. While he is the son of Kazuyuki Kinjo, Gazelle (real name Jiro) actively defies his father's prejudice against Ao Fukai. In Episode 3, he famously stands up to his father and the local villagers to rescue Ao, choosing to help the next generation rather than follow the island's hateful traditions.
"I didn't realize Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO)'s real name was Jiro until later in the series; he is such a loyal friend to Ao."

"I was watching a clip where Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO) witnesses a Scub Burst with Han Juno."

"I just saw the Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO) clip where Gazelle (real name Jiro) stands up to his father to protect Ao.

"In Episode 1, Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO) witnesses a Scub Burst, which changed his life forever."

"Man, I love the dynamic between the couriers: that scene where Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO), Han, and Pippo do a little caving shows how close they are."

"I was watching a clip of Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO) where he, Han Juno and Pippo do a little caving to find parts for their business."

"I loved the part in Episode 3 where Gazelle (Eureka Seven AO) stood up to his father and his friends to save Ao; it really showed he has a good heart."

Writer's Eureka

A phrase used to describe the sudden flood of ideas and inspiration to write, either a backstory, a story, or some other action of making literature. Can be a short flood or long term, depends of what you're writing.
"I know I have to do the dishes but I have writers eureka and I need to put all my ideas down."

"I don't have time, this writer's eureka doesn't last all day!"
"Jenna hasn't come out of her room, you think she has writer's eureka?"
