Excuse the most entitled of the elderly use to get out of accoutability for their sactions, typically used when "do as I say,not as I do" no longer works.

Not a real mental illness (unlike Schizophrenia, OCD and ADHD which are VERY real.)

Dad has "dementia", he INTENTIONALLY broke my door down asking wher eMom was when she was next to him in the living room the whole time, and yet they say he has "dementia".
