When someone puts you up against the boards emotionally. They beat you down anyway possible without laying a hand on you. Typically, they result in tears.

Today the new general manager of our Chicago office came to town. He met and shook everyone's hand with the exception of me. I was totally emotionally body-checked.

However, "get checked"is almost always taken as an insult for usage of the term implies that the person is sexually promiscuous (a whore), or has recently engaged in sexually promiscuous activity.
