Chester Bennington Effect

Public grief, memorial, and fondness to a person (usually a celebrity) for their good past memories, immediately after hearing recent news about the person's death—despite the same group of people having forgotten, hated, or otherwise disregarded the person immediately during the last period when he/she was still alive.
Billy: *Sad* Joe! Chester Bennington (singer of Linkin Park) and the Dad from Home Alone (John Heard) died just today. They were my childhood!
Joe: *Squinting with a smirk* Yeah, well, you never talked about John Heard before. I bet you never even knew his name until you saw that social media link. And just two days ago you said you hate Linkin Park's newest albums, and that the band sucks!
Billy: *Denying it* I never said that! What I really meant was...
Joe: Nevermind. It's the Chester Bennington Effect . Two days ago, everyone except for LP fans stopped talking about him or instead hated him. Only after he died was when people grieved about the loss of the singer of their previously-unspoken-about childhoods.

Ft. Benning School For Boys

The US Army Infantry School, Infanrty Officer's Basic Course, IOBC, eye-oh-bee-see. - Ft. Benning GA.
The place where it all starts...
A difficult child at best, fit neither for the cloth nor the pen, too dangerous to be unleashed upon society and too horrible to let live, but yet too brilliant and unique to destroy; He was eventually given over to The Ft. Benning School For Boys to receive the proper education and be brought up right -as both a savior and destroyer of man.

Chester Bennington

Vocalist of the band Linkin Park, formed in 1996. Born on March 20, 1976, Chester Bennington was the final addition to the band and has proven to be an essential asset to their fame. He was wed to Samantha Bennington on October 31st, 1996 and would have been married to her for eight years, this year. However, recently, the finalization of their divorce was made public and they are currently fight for custody of Draven Bennington, the couple's first and only child.

In today's music business, Chester's voice was a breath of fresh air; flawless and beautiful, even despite the screaming. Many believe that the band would not be where they are, today, without Chester's voice.

Shadow Banning

Shadow banning, also called stealth banning, ghost banning or comment ghosting, is the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community so that it will not be readily apparent to the user that they have been banned. For instance, shadow banned comments posted to a blog or media website will not be visible to other persons accessing that site from their computers.

By partly concealing, or making a user's contributions invisible or less prominent to other members of the service, the hope may be that in the absence of reactions to their comments, the problematic or otherwise out-of-favour user will become bored or frustrated and leave the site, and that spammers and trolls will not create new accounts.
I was trolling a snowflake FB group and got my ass shadow banned, it was fun while it lasted.

Dude i have to keep shadow banning these extremists for posting lies and fake news.

Foot Binding

Painful tradition in China of binding young girls feet to keep them from growing, and maintain small sized feet.

In extreme cases, foot binding was done by breaking the toes in several places and folding the broken toes under the sole of the foot, then breaking the arches of the feet, effectively snapping the feet in half. This was of course intensely painful for the girls who had it done to their feet.

Once the feet had been broken they would be bound, by wrapping in a cloth strip ten feet long and two inches wide. The binding cloth was wound repeatedly around the feet, at each pass being pulled tighter, bringing the ball of the foot and the heel gradually closer together. At the end of the binding the cloth would be pulled very tight, by this time the girl's toes would be almost touching her heels.
Once the foot binding was complete the girl would have to walk on her broken and bound feet, this would cause her devastating foot pain, but would ensure that her body weight crushed her feet into the correct shape.

The bound feet would then require lots of care throughout the binding process, which lasted several years. Over this time, the girl's life would essentially revolve around her feet, and she would suffer from constant debilitating foot pain. Each day the feet would be unbound and massaged. While they were unbound the toenails would be trimmed to keep them from injuring the toes, and then the feet would be re-bound tightly. When bound the girls would have to walk long distances on their feet to crush them further.

Girls from poor families would have the binding done by an elder female family member, whilst those from richer families would have a professional foot binder to do it. The professional foot binder would tend to bind the feet more tightly and relentlessly as he would not listen to the girl's cries of pain. The result would be exquisitely painful feet of less than three inches in length, which was seen as the ideal size.
