Term normally associated with boys but is commonly used for both genders.

A simp is a guy/girl who literally praise the opposite sex in hopes of getting the opposite sex to take interest in them. They will go as far to defend their crush in arguments and is kind and respectful to them.

Simp. A person who does anything including and not limited to, saying goodbye to their dignity, and their friends just so they might be able to have a chance at getting a partner. However most people specify that only males can simp. However you are so very wrong if you believe that hogwash May I direct you attention to Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on titan. She is the one of the biggest simps I’ve ever seen and I’m including Sanji from One Piece so there is no more reason to suggest only males can simp.

Any guy named Ryan. If you meet a Ryan, immediately assume that dudes a simp. Never trust a Ryan to be a non-simp. Just listen to the word "Ryan" roll off your tongue, doesn't it just REMIND you of a simp? Both 4 letters, end and start with a consonant, letters gravitate to the bottom (and lesser) half of the alphabet.. it just makes sense. Every single thing you can use to describe a Simp, you can also use to describe a Ryan.
