When you find someone else's shit in the toilet and you have to flush before you use it

I got into the stall at the restaurant and had to do a reverse courtesy flush for the guy before me before I could drop my own deuce.

finger curtsey

It is when you are reaching for something but you are only like cms from in so you cross your fingers to grap just enough of the object to move it to get a full grip. But the crossing making it looks like your fingers are doing curtseys so I just call them finger curtsey.

I dropped my pen on the ground and just did a finger curtsey to pick it up.

Common courtesy

Showing respect to others, respect that you would expect from anyone.

If you’re mother-in-law is babysitting your 3 month old twins, not on a work day that she does twice a week but on a Saturday so you can go watch your 8 year-old play football in 90 degree weather, and you are going to be an hour late, you should show her common courtesy by sending her a text or call.
