A neurodevelopmental disorder on the Pervasive Developmental Disorder group characterized by challenges in social life, motor skills, etc. Autism may refer to Kanner autism or classic autism, but mostly the Autism spectrum. Autism is mostly inherited in genetics. Comorbid conditions include ADHD, intellectual disability, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, Rett syndrome, selective mutism, schizophrenia, etc.
Boys are mostly 10 times to get the autism diagnosis, but girls are less frequently to get the autism diagnosis, leading to the false belief that autism is only applied to boys, as this is incorrect, as possibly girls can get a autism diagnosis by a professional doctor. The Internet portrays autism as a disease resulting in permeant retardation, when in reality is a neurodevelopmental disorder including social challenges, motor skills, etc.

Person 1: Hey John!
Person 3: Wait, why is he here?
Person 1: He's just autistic, that's all.
Person 1: As autism itself is a neurodevelopmental disorder.
Person 3: Oh.

A condition that nearly every man suffers. It's noticeable when a guy gets sucked into one of his male behaviors that he channels his inner autist. A good example is when a guy will spending hours making strategy spreadsheets for his favorite game instead of talking to his hot girlfriend. He might also join a philosophy debate group and spend his Saturday nights talking to them instead of his hot girlfriend. You see where this is going.
Jim: "Dr. Fischer, then she said I loved the game more than her."
Dr. Fischer: "I'm seeing a pattern here. I think you may have male-pattern autism."

A condition (subject to debate over whether or not it's a disability) which people like to make fun of and use as an insult, when in actual fact, they know nothing about it. I can tell you that autism's not an entirely negative thing and some people think it's the next step in evolution due to the intelligence of some autistic people (you seen Elon Musk or Greta Thunberg?) and can make people successful in life.
Now I won't ignore the fact that there are some deficiencies, as it can make people a little on the sensitive side and a little socially awkward, and in the case of classic autism (autism that's not considered high functioning/Aspergers), it can lead to some speech delays etc, but people get successful in life, you know.
(I wrote this definition as a teen (15 years old) who was tested for autism at the age of 5, and as a teen who was never told the result by their parents. I have a suspicion I was diagnosed, but once again, I was never told.

Ah, autism. Difference or disability?

Term used to describe the inbred and redneck mannerisms of born-and-raised suburban guys from upstate New York that take PD and FD jobs in NYC. Their lack of street savvy and naivety to urban culture gives them the appearance of having autism in such jobs.
