urban lumberjack

a city dweller who makes a habit of wearing plaids and flannel although he or she has little to no outdoor experience.

Robert Pattinson is such an urban lumberjack with all that plaid. Real outdoorsy people wouldn't be that pale.

Ever since Robert Pattinson made it popular again, there have been urban lumberjacks all over the city sporting plaid.

Urban Disappointment

The feeling you get when you're sure you have a unique, never before thought of word or phrase to submit to urbandictionary.com only to find out some jerk published it a long time ago.

Ben was pumped thinking he'd be the first guy to publish "soap grafting" on urbandictionary.com. Upon finding out he wouldn't be first he was left with a severe case of Urban Disappointment. Damn you Acquiesce42! DAMN YOU!!!

Asserting that due to having run out of regular toilet paper, one has been reduced to ripping (the virtual) pages out of the Urban Dictionary to wipe one's behind with after defecating.

(An absurdist but wry way of deflecting an insult about one's hygiene, neither admitting the charge nor getting into an unnecessary fight.)

urban legend

Def: A modern myth. A frightening untrue story in which the storyteller insists is true, but has no evidence to back up. Also, it never happened to the storyteller but someone removed from them.

So did you ever meet your friend's mom's Arab boyfriend that left the note on the door? Sounds like an urban legend to me.

Urban Dictionary

A website where people go to rant about things that they have no clue whatsoever about. Here's the way it works most of the time: Person stumbles upon UrbanDictionary.com. Person becomes angered at others' definition, clicks it down. Person writes their own definition of the same word that they looked at, condescending everything that person said. Repeats process.

I just finished posting something on Urban Dictionary. I don't know what I'm talking about of course and I'm so biased that I suck at life.
