Ornery-abled

Rather than disabled or handicapped which denote a lack of ability or a failure to meet manufacured ability standards this word speaks to the determination, resilience and creaivity many uniquely abled persons use.

Of course I will do this task, I am ornery-abled and will figure it out.

positive ableism

It is basically saying something ableist but masking it with an overall positive tone to avoid getting called out for ableism

Example: “You are not autistic, you are artistic 🤎”
Example: “My family can say a lot of stuff labeled as positive ableism”

When the person’s mind is in a vegetative state (a person considered to be disabled) but are physically capable of every day life.

Person 1; “What is he doing? What is wrong with him?!”

Person 2; “Sorry, he is Veg-abled so he’s a little bit slow .”
