When someone shoots down any new but possibly similar to past products with X was better or I'd rather use/watch/play X replies/comments mostly to people that don't know what that thing was.
Commonly used by arrogant and obnoxious rabid fanboys to compare and shill for an already extremely popular to begin with that it doesn't even need even more promotion product.
Usually those who are unable to accept that not everyone will like the big thing they love to suck off for.

A guy who is handsome however is shy to girls he likes and has a hard time expressing his true feelings. Shillian who is a beautiful woman was unaware of the feelings he had for her. He had a hard time conveying to Shillian perhaps because he had fallen in love with her. He had feelings for her even though the short friendship they had together perhaps was unable to let Shillian just how he was feeling at the time. If he had a chance to do it over again things would have been different. He would have told her he was falling in love at the same time not sure how Shillian would respond..
