Hala

This word is used when you or someone does something wrong, its meaning changes depending on the tone its said with. A short, high pitched “hala” is used when you did something wrong or something bad happens yo you. And a longer, low pitched “hala” is used when someone else did something wrong something bad happened to them.

Short and High-pitched “Hala”:
“Hala! Nawala selpon ko!”(oh no! I lost my cellphone)(bad event to yoursef)
“Hala! Nabasag ko ang baso!”(oh no! I broke the glass!₱(bad action that you did)

Long and Low-pitched “Hala”:
Person 1: “Nawala selpon ko!”(My cellphone’s gone!)(bad event to someone)
Person 2: “Halaaaaaaa”
Person 1: *Breaks a glass*(bad action someone did)
Person 2: “halaaaaaaa”

Halah1 effect

The "Halah1 effect" is when an annoying fat guy talks in a really fun way that gets everyone chatting. But, it's so contagious that sometimes people end up mixing up words or numbers in an annoying way, making the conversation a bit more like how an annoying fat guy talks. The Halah1 effect also describes when someone talks excessively and when we get a wrong answer on an easy question.
