Valey

A genuine Penis.

This term arose from the behaviours of a certain former Canberra cricketer. When told that he was batting at 9 he turned his chair away from the game that he was involved in and refused to watch his teammates that were batting higher than him. These events were later relayed to other club members and in doing so this particular person was described as a penis.

This is also a term used when playing knock poker where a player will throw out a card and then retrieve the same card (numerically speaking). From there a song and dance is performed to mark the occasion.

P1: You should of seen this Valey we played against today, such a Valey. Come to think of it, they were all a bunch of Valeys.
P2: Well, what do you expect? Everyone knows that their club is full of Valeys.

Portola Valley

Completely misinterpreted in the previous definitions. In Portola Valley people have money but they don't flaunt it. Sure they might have nice cars, but most people have Prius' or cars that are older than ten years old. There isn't a downtown, so residents have to go to other towns to buy food/clothing/anything else. Everyone knows everyone else and will help each other when needed. The public schools here are AMAZING, and not "dirty" as the other definition said. Most people send their kids to public school here and not private schools. It is a beautiful town with many things to offer and great people. People who live here have worked hard for their money and are usually involved in the tech industry. Because it is such a small town, gossip travels quickly, but that is the only negative part of Portola Valley. Whoever said that it is snobby has obviously never met the people of this town. Oh and by the way, no one calls it PV.

Castro Valley

A small unincorporated area unfortunately stuck in the middle of Oakland, Hayward and San Ramon. While the schools used to be good, now they are full of inner-district transfers of students who generally do poorly at their respective schools in their cities so Castro Valley gets students who are academically challenged and just don't give a shit about it because they don't live in the area and don't care if it brings the values of the homes in the area down (for all the people saying the housing is overpriced it's because the schools USED to be good and people wanted their kids to go to them). Furthermore, it isn't known for ghetto kids because Castro Valley is FAR from it. It was known for chickens (try brushing up on history). People who live in Castro Valley aren't racist or ghetto because 90% of the people you see daily aren't from there.

Dude, what's happening to CV? Everyone is trying to act ghetto.

That's cuz they're not really from Castro Valley. They're inner-district transfers. No wonder our schools are going to shit.

Valley Alternative Magnet School

AKA VAS
A close knit school that goes from kindergarten to twelfth grade.Everyone is called by their first name.No clubs or teams (no winning teams anyways).No gym but there is a farm.High schoolers are aloud off campus for lunch and every Tuesday and Thursday 10-12 graders that choose to are either bussed off to Valley Collage or a job site (where they intern).It seems like an easy school but it is hard for the new kids.And the total amount of students is around 300-500 mostly Armenians and Hispanics.

Kid one- So where do you go to school?
Kid two- Oh I go to Valley Alternative Magnet School.
