Often used in informal lanuage to advise someone or to advise of something that has to be calmed, often referred to as something that has flared up.
It is a very versatile word that can be used for just about anything in reference to an item or ire that has flared up, i.e. If someone is bugging you.
If you are drinking socially with friends and you knock a drink over at the table.

"Hold your horses" -> "Calm your Horses" -> "Calm your Snitz Ploise!"
"My snitz are flaring" (something is irritating you)
"Snitz baby!" (Stop bugging me)(what ever you are doing is bugging me, flaring my snitz)
'Snitz' in the place of the word S**t/Faeces.
"oh snitz!"

Snits

A time honored tradition that occurs upon the years first sight of snow in which you may ask any female you encounter to show her breasts. It is widely thought to have originated during the early American colonial period somewhere within the New England colonies. The term was formed by combining the words "Snow" and "Tits".
