Rules used to create an immersive first-person video game.

1) make the protagonist silent
2) keep the cutscenes in first person

3) make sure the levels and maps flow seamlessly with one another.

Snow Rules

When snow conditions cause driving to become difficult. Conditions inhibit the ability to stop, go, see lane markings, etc

Note: only applies while snowing, before being plowed, with limited other traffic on the road

I was waiting too long at the traffic light, so I just went. Snow Rules!
I don't know if this road is one lane or two, oh well. Snow Rules!

Roussel rules

Used to describe a situation where the usual rules of attraction no longer apply. Standards are lowered in order to accomadate the less appealing.
Particularly in the workplace, where a 38 year old divorced mother of two on the end of the production line stacking boxes can appear pretty tidy.

H.D:"that bird you pulled last night was a bit shabby rtj."

rtj:"yeah, I was playing by Roussel rules."

Aussie rules

A game where grown men run around a cricket oval, kicking a ball around the place in a scrappy sort of fashion.

A game where ball control and handling counts for nothing, as long as you kick the ball.

A game that is simple and one-dimensional and doesn't require much thought process to follow or participate in... 'catch, kick... catch, kick....'
